On the occasion of the founding anniversary of the Journalist Welfare Association in Satkhira

The fifth founding anniversary of the Satkhira Journalists Welfare Association has been celebrated. The chief guest at the founding anniversary held at Satkhira Lakeview on Saturday (May 24) was Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP Satkhira district member secretary Abu Zahid Dablu.
The event was chaired by Dr. Abul Kalam Babla, advisor to the Satkhira Journalists Welfare Association, a prominent social worker, and conducted by Md. Abu Said, president of the Satkhira Journalists Welfare Association, and Md. Nazmul Alam Munnar, general secretary. The special guests at the event were Mayor of Satkhira Municipality and joint convener of Satkhira District BNP Tajkin Ahmed Chishti, joint convener of the district BNP Abul Hasan Hadi, Amir of Satkhira City Jamaat Md. Zahidul Islam, and former Upazila Parishad chairman Md. Mashiur Rahman Babu.
Agardari Union Parishad Chairman Kabir Hossain Milon and former professor Mozammel Haque. Among others, Satkhira Journalists Welfare Association Vice President DM Kamrul Islam and teacher Abdur Rob Warsi spoke at the meeting. In their speeches, the guests said that there is no alternative to the media for the country and the nation. Satkhira is lagging behind many districts and journalists are the only medium to publish objective and brutal news highlighting specific reasons. Satkhira Journalists Welfare Association will play that role in the future and I applaud all those who are with this organization and wish the organization success. All members of the organization and people from different walks of life including people from different professions of the district were present at the meeting.
